Beatriz Arroyave Ferro is an attorney at DADvocacy Law Firm. A Miami native, Beatriz graduated from Florida International University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate degree from The Florida State University College of Law in 2007. As a law student, Beatriz gained invaluable hands-on trial experience as a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office – handling all facets of criminal cases, including bench and jury trials.
Upon graduation, Beatriz continued her tenure at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State Attorney. Her experience as a prosecutor allowed her to sharpen her skills in motion practice, trial strategy, direct and cross examination, presentation of evidence, and witness preparation. In her role as a prosecutor, Beatriz advocated for the victims of crimes that she was assigned to prosecute – requiring her to balance compassion and understanding with justice and fairness.
Subsequently, Beatriz transitioned to the private sector, handling an array of cases ranging from criminal defense to family matters, and general civil litigation. Her experience with family-related matters highlighted her interest in advocating for families through, what is arguably, one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Today, Beatriz practices exclusively in the areas of family and matrimonial law. Her previous experience as a prosecutor, coupled with her practice in the private sector, provides Beatriz with the combination of empathy and even-handedness required in all family cases. Beatriz strives to resolve issues through amicable means, while tenaciously advocating for her clients in court, should the need for litigation arise.
Beatriz is a member of the Florida Bar and the U.S. Southern District of Florida. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
